Dr Paul Robertson has joined the accountancy giant to lead the crisis management part of its risk and business continuity management services division.
A past winner of the CIR Business Continuity Management Consultant of the Year award, Robertson is a regular speaker at industry events. He has spent the past 13 years working as a consultant in the business continuity and risk sector.
Nomura
The bank has hired Dr Nick Firoozye as head of European interest rates strategy and Ann Wyman as head of European emerging markets research.
Firoozye joins from Citadel Investment Group, where he held the position of head of fixed income quantitative research. He has also worked in fixed income research and structuring at the likes of Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers.
Wyman was previously senior economist for the economic and political strategies group at Citigroup in New York.
Barclays Wealth
The wealth management firm has appointed Ruth Davis as director of client management for the ultra high net worth (UHNW) market in the UK, Ireland and EMEA.
Davis, who will be based in London, joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland, where she was a programme manager in the global banking and markets division. She also previously spent time as a management consultant at Accenture, specialising in business transformation for investment, corporate and retail banks.
Begbies Traynor
The restructuring specialist has appointed David Wilton as a partner in its BTG restructuring division, focusing on automotive, construction, media and travel in the private sector and health and transport in the public sector.
Prior to joining the firm, Wilton was a restructuring partner at PwC in London, and was the global co-ordinator of its optimised exit product.
Towers Watson
The professional services group has appointed David Holding and Gregory Jackson as investment consultants.
Holding joins from BNY Mellon Asset Management, where he was an account manager in the institutional pooled pension fund team, and has worked at Schroder Investment Management and Mercer Investment Consulting.
Jackson, who steps up to the client consulting team, was a pension manager for the UK defined benefit scheme at Marsh & McLennan.
Santander
The bank has appointed Mike Oxby, formerly head of the corporate regional business at RBS Lombard in Manchester, as director of asset finance. Oxby also previously held the role of sales director for Hewlett Packard Financial Services.
