Earth Capital Partners
The green investment advisory firm, chaired by ex-Man Group boss Stanley Fink, has appointed Bosworth Monck, Gabriel Montana and Richard Smith to its sustainable agriculture and forestry investment team.
Monck, pictured, will head up the team and previously held roles as chief executive of Ibis Asset Management, chief operating officer of hedge fund Olea Capital Partners and managing director at EMP Global.
Smith and Montana both join as partners, also from Ibis, where they were directors.
M&G Investments
The fund manager has reappointed Micaela Forelli as retail director of global banks relationship management.
Now based in London, Forelli joins from Fidelity International in Milan, where she spent two years as a director of key accounts and a wholesale sales director.
Prior to that, she worked at M&G in Italy as director of sales.
Pinsent Masons
The law firm has appointed Mark Raymont to join its international construction group in the UAE.
Raymont is relocating from Pinsent Masons’ Hong Kong office, where he spent five years advising on a number of major construction and engineering disputes in the region. He will now join a team of 26 in the firm’s Dubai office, responsible for expanding the contentious practice in the Gulf.
Reed Smith
Philip Olmer has been appointed to the law firm’s real estate group in London.
Olmer joins from rival Olswang. He specialises on complicated high value structured investment property and joint venture transactions, as well as large scale development and regeneration projects.
He has previously acted for a number of public and private UK property companies, institutional funds and numerous overseas investors.
Emergent Asset Management
The investment management firm has hired Kevin Nealis from Deutsche Bank as its new chief operations officer.
Nealis has 25 years of experience in the financial industry across operations, accounting, prime brokerage, asset management, private banking and electronic trading.
He was global head of the TMG global prime finance division and European head of TMG equities at Deutsche, and prior to that was responsible for implementing the in-house portfolio accounting system and setting up a Swiss banking operation in Zurich for Goldman Sachs.
Clayton Euro Risk
Michael Bolton has joined the loan and mortgage asset risk assessment and due diligence business as its new director of sales and marketing for Europe.
Bolton was formerly chief executive of mortgage lender Edeus for three years before the start-up lender folded due to the pressures of the credit crunch in October 2008.
Prior to that, he was head of the UK’s largest specialised lending business at HBOS for five years.
More recently, he has been working as a consultant to Clayton Euro Risk on its international strategic direction.
Weightmans
The law firm has named six employees to its partnership in is annual promotion round, bringing the total number of partners at the firm to 103.
The new partners are Deborah Bannister in the healthcare division, Rebecca Blythe and Clare Malpus in the large loss team, intellectual property specialist Sean Crotty, local government partner Andy Griffiths and Paul McFarlane in the employment team in London.
