EasyJet lands EMI music executive
EasyJet has appointed EMI Music executive Chris Kennedy as its new finance director.
Kennedy, chief investment officer and president of EMI Music’s corporate development unit, will replace interim chief financial officer Mark Adams.
The budget airline has been trying to fill the role for nine months after the airline’s previous chief financial officer, Jeff Carr, resigned last May.
EasyJet said in a statement: “Chris brings great experience of working within a high profile international, fast changing consumer facing business, strong financial skills and a demonstrable track record of delivering operational improvement.”
The company has seen first quarter revenue jump by 10.5 per cent and that it would have higher full-year profit than expected despite flight cancellations caused by Britain’s big freeze.
Last month the airline’s chief executive, Andy Harrison, announced his departure after four years in the job.
