1999: England went over to Dublin and won, 27-15, helped by an injury-time try by Tim Rodber. Jonny Wilkinson, drop-goal hero of England’s World Cup victory four years later and more recently adored son of Toulon, is the Englishman being trampled by the Irish forwards. Wilkinson was in the centre that day alongside Jeremy Guscott, with Northampton’s Paul Grayson at fly-half. Grayson dropped the only goal of that Five Nations fixture at Lansdowne Road.
