48 hours in… Berlin
WHERE TO STAY
Rocco Forte’s Hotel de Rome is located on one of the most important squares in former East Berlin. The rooms are among the most luxurious in Germany.
WHERE TO EAT
There are plenty of high end restaurants in Berlin like the Ganymed Brasserie (pictured) but Turkish is the cuisine that draws the hordes in the evening; the falafel at Baraka is spectacular.
WHAT TO DO
Take a stroll down Wilhelmstrasse, the central thoroughfare that housed government buildings up until 1945. Don’t miss Hitler’s bunker; now a car park with a small plaque.
