3i infrastructure chief Hogg quits to join Canada Pension Plan fund
THE BOSS of 3i’s infrastructure business is leaving the firm to take up a senior post at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), it emerged yesterday.
Cressida Hogg, the founder and current managing partner of 3i Infrastructure, will step down at the end of next month to take up the role at CPPIB, a person familiar with the matter said yesterday.
Hogg joined 3i, the UK’s oldest private equity firm, in 1995 from JP Morgan, where worked in the private equity sector.
“I am sorry to see Cressida leave our business and would like to thank her for her contribution over the years,” chief executive Simon Borrows said yesterday.
The company yesterday announced Phil White and Ben Loomes will be appointed co-managing partners to succeed Hogg, who was awarded a CBE in this year’s honours list. Under her watch, 3i made an investment into Anglian Water – alongside CPPIB.
