Theresa May heckled at Tory party conference after “very difficult” local election results
Theresa May was heckled by a member of the Conservative Party as she addressed those present at the Welsh Conservative conference in the aftermatch of a disastrous night at the polls.
Former Tory county councillor Stuart Davies, 71, leapt up to confront the Prime Minister and asked her: "Why don't you resign? The national convention doesn't want you. We don't want you."

Davies was ejected from Llangollen Pavillion in front of 200 people, while several delegates chanted "out", seemingly at the 71-year-old.
May continued to address the rest of members present about the poor local election results, which has seen the Tories lose near 700 seats so far.
"This is a difficult time for our party and these election results are a symptom of that," she said.
"We have the privilege of governing our country at a momentous time and we have a responsibility of delivering something truly historic.
"What is momentous and historic is seldom simple and straightforward.
"But I think there was a simple message from yesterday's elections to both us and the Labour Party – just get on and deliver Brexit."
It is predicted that the Conservatives could lose in excess of 800 seats, and analysis from the BBC has suggested that if the results were repeated at a general election, the Labour and Conservative parties would total 28 per cent of the vote, leaving them well off of a majority.

The Tories lost control of 31 councils as well as 676 seats, with still 86 of the 248 councils to declare their results.
Labour and Ukip also lost 91 and 61 seats respectively, while the Liberal Democrats were the biggest winners, gaining 410 seats, while the newly-formed Independent Group and the Green Party also benefited.
