Bonfire Night 2017 London: Where are the best fireworks displays? Which events still have tickets?
This weekend, the skies of London will be lit up with countless colourful fireworks displays – so get ready to wrap up and eat as much street food as possible.
But if haven’t remember remembered to book tickets in advance, are the displays you should still be able to get into.
Alexandra Palace
The organisers of this annual extravaganza are determined it will be bigger than ever before, with a laser show, street food market, Bier hall, ice-skating and fire parade, as well as the bonfire and fireworks you would expect.
There are only tickets left for tonight – they can be bought online for £11 per adult.
Ice-skating tickets can be added-on for £6 per person, and there are still some left for tonight’s 5.30pm to 6.30pm session.
The German Bier Festival – think the Palace’s take on Oktoberfest – will have Bavarian waitresses and live music for £16 a ticket, which should also be booked online.
Entry into the park is available from 5pm. The laser show starts at 8.30pm and the fireworks start at 9pm.
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace has not one but two fireworks displays, with both taking place on Sunday. Starting at 7pm, the first display, for the kids, will include fewer loud bangs and will be more colourful. The main fireworks display follows at 8.30pm.
Food and drink will be available to buy at the venue, along with all the flashing novelty toys you could hope for.
Tickets need to be bought online, and cost £8.50 per person. Be quick though; they will be £9 on the day.
Gates open at 6pm and close at 8.15pm, but it is recommended you arrive half an hour before the display you want to see.
Battersea Park
Expect lots of food, drink, entertainment and fireworks set to music relating to the show’s theme, “power”, tomorrow night.
The 22-minute fireworks display will kick off at 8pm and there will be no entry to the park after this time.
For anyone arriving early, you’ll get the chance to grab something to eat or drink and enjoy some pre-show entertainment. Remember to bring some change, though, because produce at the event is cash-only.
Tickets can be bought on the website for £10 per adult, and doors open at 6pm.
Brockwell Park
Swap your usual Saturday cinema date night for Lambeth’s “a night at the movies” themed event.
Think Hollywood glamour as you watch the fireworks display set to a soundtrack of iconic movie songs. If that’s not your thing, there are a number of live acts performing before and after the fireworks.
The event will include a funfair which is open all night and lots of places to pick up a glass of mulled wine or street food. The event is cash-only.
Early bird tickets can be bought until the end of today for £8.50 per adult. Tickets will be £10 after that, and some will be available on the door.
Entry starts at 5pm and everyone is advised to arrive before 7pm.
