Orla Kiely shuts up shop, closing stores and online trading
Orla Kiely has ceased trading, closing its retail stores and its online business.
Parent company Kiely Rowan has gone into administration, closing its Orla Kiely stores in King’s Road and Seven Dials stores in London, and closing its Kildare shop from Monday 17 September.
David Ruben & Partners have been appointed administrators.
The firm said its print designs licensing business is not affected, and its homeware and accessories will continue to be sold through distribution partners.
"Having carefully considered the options, the directors of Kiely Rowan Plc have concluded that the business should enter voluntary liquidation following various challenges that have faced the company over the past few years, both in the UK and abroad," it said in a statement.
