26 people treated and five taken to hospital after London bus crashes into a bridge
A bus crashed into a railway bridge in Tottenham at around 4am this morning.
Two fire engines and 15 firefighters attended the incident on St Lays Road with the bus seemingly stuck under the bridge. The incident was over, according to the London Fire Brigade, by 5.45am.
A total of 26 people were treated with five of them were taken to hospital.
Alongside firefighters were representatives from the Ambulance Service, Metropolitan Police and Network Rail.
"Crews helped release three people who were trapped on the upper deck of a double-decker bus," the London Fire Brigade said in a statement.
