Southern Rail commuters had some very British responses to the latest RMT strikes and engineering chaos
Travel chaos is well and truly underway as strikes (and over-running engineering works) cause more turmoil for Southern commuters.
And passengers have been doing what any good Brit would do – taking to social media to complain.
Strikes might be disruptive, but they do provide ample opportunity to take part in one of the national pastimes: queuing

But what use is suffering travel delays if you don’t get to document every moment?
This is not what passengers pay £1000's a year for. #southernfail Will @SouthernRailUK blame @RMTunion for this today? #southernstrike pic.twitter.com/9IgmgqNkDJ

It wouldn't be a very British strike without a healthy dose of sarcasm either
… some, at least, managed to find their sense of humour in this dark, dark time.
Using @SouthernRailUK for the next few days & im wondering if this is my best option? #SouthernStrike #southernfail pic.twitter.com/N5aOjYXh3t

Ultimately, it wouldn’t be Britain at all without people getting on as normal and waiting patiently for trains that may never arrive…
