Hundreds of UK jobs at risk as AB InBev announces Belgium move for SABMiller HQ
Hundreds of UK jobs at SABMiller are thought to be at risk as part of the company's merger with Anheuser-Busch InBev.
Budweiser maker AB InBev today confirmed the merged company's headquarters will be in Leuven, Belgium, with a functional office in New York.

AB InBev confirmed that "SABMiller’s existing UK locations will be significantly impacted after the combination completes".
A spokesperson added: "Any changes affecting employees in the UK would be implemented with due respect for applicable legal considerations and consultation requirements."
The BBC today reported that 575 SABMiller jobs in the UK would be cut as part of the takeover.

AB InBev declined to comment on the figure, while SABMiller was unreachable at the time of writing.
The £79bn deal is set to complete on 10 October.
