The Championship. A league full of 30+ cloggers and clumpers adept at the dark arts and averse to pretty passing football, right?
Not quite. English football's second tier certainly still boasts those of the agricultural persuasion, but there are just as many players who will have you scratching your head and wondering why no Premier League club has snapped them up.
Just consider some of the recent graduates from the Championship who have easily made the grade in the top table: Liverpool's teenage defender Joe Gomez, West Ham's Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell, three quarters of the Leicester squad.
With those examples surely having whetted your appetite, here's five players for you to keep an eye on this season.
