London mayoral election 2016: Andrew Adonis could take on top transport job if Sadiq Khan wins
Chair of the National Infrastructure Commission Andrew Adonis is tipped to take on a top transport job is Sadiq Khan becomes Mayor of London.
A source told City A.M. that Adonis is likely to take on a position and "details will get worked out over the weekend".
Votes are currently being counted in London's mayoral election, with Khan ahead on first preference votes.

Khan is expected by bookies and pollsters to win the election after second preference votes are counted.
Adonis was minister of state for Transport from October 2008 until June 2009, and has recently urged the government to unlock funding for Crossrail 2.
The result of the mayoral election is expected this evening.
