For workers in Solihull, it's a historic day, as the last-ever Land Rover Defender rolls off the production line.
With more than 2m of the iconic off-road vehicles made since they were first produced in 1948, the Defender has been converted into everything, from fire engines to army vehicles.
It's been driven into water, over perilous terrain – and even hauled up a dam, as in the classic 1995 ad (see below).
And it's been driven by everyone from movie stars to army generals to the Queen – to, an elephant named Kam.
