TalkTalk cyber attack: Another teenager has been arrested in connection with the alleged data theft
A 16-year old boy was arrested in Norwich earlier this evening, in connection with the ongoing investigation of alleged data theft from TalkTalk.
The telecom firm was thrown into crisis last month after a hacking crisis during which customer data was stolen from its website. Share prices plummeted in the wake of the attack.
Police made their first arrest in connection with the attack on 26 October, when a 15-year-old boy from County Antrim, Northern Ireland, was taken into custody. On 29 October, a 16-year-old boy was arrested after police searched an address in Feltham, and on 31 October, a 20-year-old man was arrested in Staffordshire. All three have since been bailed.
Detectives are still investigating the attack, in a joint effort with the PSNI's Cyber Crime Centre and the National Crime Agency.

TalkTalk boss Dido Harding faced calls to step down over the data breach, however she told City A.M. that she had no intention of leaving. "Our customers will judge us and judge me, and if I was busy worrying about my job or my bonus right now I’d be doing my job extremely badly – and I’m not, I’m focused on doing what’s right for customers," she said.
When news of the attack first emerged, reports claimed around 4m customers' email addresses, names and phone numbers were accessed, however it has since been confirmed that the number is closer to 1.2m.
"The scale of attack was much smaller than we originally suspected, but this does not take away from how seriously we take what has happened and our investigation is still ongoing," Harding said.
TalkTalk is working with military supply company BAE systems as it looks into the hack.
