Graze grabs a snack in stores
ONLINE snack retailer Graze is to start delivering to stores as well as letter boxes after launching in 1,200 Sainsbury’s, Boots and WH Smith Travel stores today.
Graze, which is majority owned by private equity group Carlyle, delivers snack boxes to thousands of customers in the UK and the US. Revenues grew by 31 per cent to £68m last year.
It is now looking to take advantage of the shift away from selling sugary treats near to the tills by launching 12 healthier snacks into stores including dried fruit, nuts and fruit flapjacks.
Chief executive Anthony Fletcher told City A.M.: “There are an increasing number of choices out there. But people still see making the healthy choice as sacrificing quality or excitement. What Graze is trying to do is make ‘good’ exciting.”
