Hearn: Brook is next Froch
RESILIENT Kell Brook can succeed Carl Froch as Britain’s biggest boxing draw, according to his promoter Eddie Hearn, following an easy first defence of his IBF welterweight title.
Brook, 28, wants to fight Amir Khan next after stopping Romanian Jo Jo Dan in four rounds on Saturday night, in his first fight since a stabbing left him fighting for his life in September.
Froch is mulling retirement after beating fellow Englishman George Groves in a Wembley blockbuster last year, and Hearn said: “Kell is the perfect replacement as the star of British boxing. He has the ability to beat the very best.”
