Property accelerator Property Innovation Labs launches £500,000 crowdfund on Seedrs
A Shoreditch-based accelerator programme aimed at finding the next big technology innovations in property has today launched a £500,000 fund using crowdfunding platform Seedrs.
Property Innovation Labs (Pi Labs), created by Cushman & Wakefield and venture capital firm Spire Ventures, aims to help tech start-ups shaking up the property sector by providing them with mentoring and investment.
It has picked five firms to take part in the programme and benefit from the fund, including AirSorted, a management company aimed at helping Airbnb landlords with services such as key exchanges.
C&W partner and Tech City’s head of property Juliette Morgan said: “We have managed to attract some of the brightest minds in proptech from around the world – the quality of applicants for the accelerator has been incredibly high.” She said the fund has been launched on Seedrs to encourage the public to pitch in and could be extended from £500,000 to £1.5m.
