10 things to do in Regent’s Park
1 The ZSL London Zoo is one of the most popular days out in the capital. Founded in 1826, the zoo is home to Guy the gorilla, Goldie the golden eagle and Winnie the bear. For tickets and opening times, log on to zsl.org.
2 Every October, the great and the good of the contemporary art world descend on Regent’s Park for five days of schmoozing at the Frieze Art Fair.
3 Take in a show and some fresh air at the same time at The Open Air Theatre. Harper Lee’s civil rights classic To Kill a Mockingbird is lined up for summer 2014. Enjoy pre-show food at the buffet, barbecue or in the covered dining area.
4 The Hanover Gate children’s playground, over on the west side of Regent’s Park, was renovated in 2010 and now features a timber tree house for adventurous little ones.
5 Enjoy a spot of lunch in the Park’s designated picnic area or grab a sausage roll at Honest Sausage, a milkshake at The Cow and Coffee Bean or relax on the lakeside terrace of the Boathouse Café.

7 Don your warmest deerstalker hat to hunt down clues in the footsteps of the world’s most famous detective at The Sherlock Holmes Museum in Baker Street (obviously).
8 The Jewish Museum in Albert Street is another educational gem, telling stories from the Holocaust, displaying ceremonial art, and documenting the history of the Jewish community in Britain.
9 Shop till you drop in the chic vintage shops, delicatessens and trendy bars around Primrose Hill. Also famous for being home to many Young British Artists and Britpop stars of the 90s.
10 Catch some live music in one of the area’s many arts venues such as The Dublin Castle, The Forge, or walk into Camden Town and enjoy an evening at The Jazz Café or The Blues Kitchen.
