Strictly corporate at Square Mile’s ballroom dance-off
SEVEN glittering couples from the corporate restructuring world battled it out on the Park Lane Hilton hotel’s dancefloor over the weekend, at a strictly (corporate) dancing competition in aid of cancer charities Orchid and the Debbie Fund.
This was the second clash of sparkly stilettos organised by R3 – the association for business recovery professionals – which hosted 400 bankers, investors, lawyers and accountants for the ballroom bash and raised £40,000 for the two charities.
Lawyers Richard Saunders from Moon Beever and Locke Lord’s Ayesha Hasan were crowned ballroom King and Queen.
However, The Capitalist hears the legally minded and twinkly toed pair were presented with their glitter ball trophy not for impressing celebrity judges with their jazz hands, but for prising the most cash from City spectators’ palms.
